Rose Hoang

Rose started practicing yoga in 2016 in Brooklyn, NY after the unexpected loss of a childhood friend. She showed up on the mat trying to process the trauma and unexpectedly uncovered a profound love for this ancient practice. As an avid practitioner and student of yoga, she discovered the incredible benefits beyond the asana; healing, empowerment and a deep sense of acceptance and compassion for herself and all sentient beings.

During the fall of 2020, the mountains were calling her name and Rose decided to leave the Big Apple and venture to Colorado for a road trip. Little did she know that the road trip would lead to her to finding love in the mountains and landing in Salida! She quickly traded in her heels for hiking boots and started practicing regularly at Yoga Olas where she found a community of like-minded and kind-hearted humans.

Rose completed her 250-hour Vinyasa Flow training at Yoga Olas in the fall of 2022, Yin training in Feb 2024 and Reiki I and II training in April 2024. Her goal as an instructor is to provide a space for others to deepen their practice, explore their reason for showing up on the mat and get curious about exploring their inner world. Her hope is to help others find radical self-acceptance, pure self-love and inner peace through the harmony of breath, movement and stillness. Anchored in compassion, acceptance and kindness, Rose believes that everyone has the innate wisdom and the ability to heal oneself and is passionate about supporting others in their mental and physical wellbeing. She welcomes all levels, from beginner to advanced, making yoga accessible, grounding, playful and challenging.

When Rose isn’t on her mat, she can be found exploring in nature, playing the flute, making Vietnamese food or making pretty little things.
