Katie has been practicing yoga for fourteen years, but began a more serious journey with yoga seven years ago while rehabilitating from a running injury. While she originally started doing yoga for the physical benefits, she fell in love with yoga because of the positive mental and emotional changes she experienced through a regular practice. Since then, Katie has worked to incorporate yoga into her daily life and continues to strengthen her relationship with her mind, body, and spirit through yoga.
Katie completed her 250-hour yoga teacher training at Yoga Olas in the Fall of 2022. She is trained in vinyasa yoga, yoga sculpt, and reiki healing. Katie aims to help others grow in their own practice through her classes, whether that be building up to a peak pose or feeling the healing benefits of breath work and meditation.
In Katie’s classes, you can expect a welcoming environment for all levels, a little bit of heat, and some bangin’ playlists to help you get out of your mind and into your body! Katie also often offers poses and suggested stretches for those who like to run, mountain bike, climb, and other fun Salida activities.
When she's not on her mat, you can find Katie playing around in the mountains, planning her next travel adventure, or lawyering at her day job.
