Andra Dolton

After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Andra went to school to become a nurse. She now cares for people at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in Salida, Colorado. She began gravitating to yoga for both the art and the science behind the practice. She believes it is a science as it offers practical methods for guiding our body and mind to where we want to go and how we want to get there. The art form is created through breath as we flow, knowing it will always be our own and it can look and feel different in everyone's body.

As a Colorado native, Andra began her yoga journey over 10 years ago.  Looking for a way to cross-train she came to yoga for increased flexibility and health benefits and stayed for the community.  It also makes her feel good and allows her to eat one more piece of chocolate!

Andra is known for her fun and creative sequencing and non-judgmental teaching style.  After her class, you will step off the mat feeling strong, balanced and inspired. A caregiver by nature, Andra hopes to provide a warm and friendly environment to heal and grow together. She teaches yoga to help people find their place in a supportive and loving community.

Yoga Olas, Salida offered a 250-hour Vinyasa Flow teacher training. Andra stepped up to the challenge and completed her training in January 2020.  She will forever be a student of the practice and deeply grateful for the knowledge and courage her teachers have shared with her. When not at the hospital or on her mat she can be found in the mountains or on the rivers looking for her next adventure.
