May is Tuberous Sclerosis Awareness month!
Join Megan Rae Kahn on Monday, May 14, 5:00-6:00p for a yoga class to benefit the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. 100% of revenue from class plus any additional donations will go directly to the TS Alliance.
Megan's son Xander was born with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, a rare genetic disease which causes tumors to grow on all major organs of the body, including the brain, skin, eyes, kidneys, lungs and heart. There is currently no cure. Xander has tumors in his brain and eyes and at 6 months old he suffered seizures up to 20 times per day, which set him back developmentally. His seizures are now under control with the support of CBD oil. Even though Xander is developmentally delayed and non verbal, he is clearly a future rock climber, the biggest love bug, and the happiest little dude you ever did meet!
The TS Alliance is paramount in supporting families around the world impacted by this disease, as well and the main source of funding research efforts to find a cure. TS is also a linchpin disease, which means that for every dollar spent unlocking the cure for TS, other diseases - epilepsy, autism and cancer will also benefit. The support and resources provided to the Kahn family by the TS Alliance have been monumental in helping them support Xander's health and navigate this illness.
Can't make it that night? No worries, Yoga Olas is committed to donating 10% of all May profits to the Alliance. So come get your yoga in anytime throughout the month of May, and in turn help us give back to this incredible organization. A website will also be set up to make donations from afar.
Thank you for your support! It means the world to us!
