Rachel Link

Rachel launched face first into yoga in 2013 to heal a back injury and cope with a failing marriage. And while it didn’t fix her marriage, it did fix her back so she kept showing up. Thanks largely to the spaces of complete stillness and meditation in the beginning and end of classes, she fell in love with both the physical practice and the emotional connection that grew from it.

In 2017, Rachel decided to deepen her practice and entered her first life-changing 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through LifePower Yoga.

The first night of teacher training, when she was asked to practice teach, terrified, she clapped her hands together and exclaimed, “Okay! But I am an introvert!” And then she never looked back. Despite her immense introversion, she unexpectedly fell in love with teaching and is now certified in ashtanga, vinyasa, slow flow, and yin yoga practices.

The first public yoga class taught was, not surprisingly, a donation-based cat yoga class in which she raised money for homeless cats while the shelter cats wandered onto people’s mats and bodies throughout the practice. Until Covid, she continued teaching cat yoga, taught weekly classes at her office in Broomfield, and was fortunate to be a Yoga Olas sub.

In 2021, Rachel was able to make Salida her permanent home. She sought to once again deepen her practice and signed up for the Yoga Olas 250-hour Yoga Teacher Training—another transformative teacher training. The community, friendships, and continued love for the Olas studio space lured her into teaching again and she’s thrilled to get to teach at the beautiful Yoga Olas studio once again.

Since making Yoga Olas her full-time teaching space, Rachel has sought Reiki I and II training and loves to offer it for herself and her cats (of course).

When she isn’t teaching, you can find Rachel hugging dogs, wandering around town with her fancy camera, talking about her cats, or laughing at her own jokes.
