Kristy Valentine began her journey 22 years ago in a Viniyoga class in the middle of Kansas. The peace she found in that class was so palpable she was instantly hooked. After two years studying with her local teacher she left her home and gave away all her belongings to move to the Sivananda Ashram in Grass Valley, CA. She stayed for one year and decided to experience new ways of doing yoga.

From there, she began to take every kind of yoga class she could find including Iyengar, Astanga, Power, Anasura, Yin, Restorative, Jivamukti, and more! She moved back to Kansas where she taught yoga in every space she could:  gyms, churches, sororities, as well as private sessions in her home.

Her yoga path shifted dramatically when she entered the sacred role of motherhood, giving birth to Willow Moon and soon after her sister Dharma Sky. She decided to stop teaching and continue practicing yoga both privately and in group-settings.

She continued her practice all of these years because she knew that it made her feel better, which in turn made her a better Mom and a kinder person altogether. No other practice she could find had such a profound affect on her life. Which is why now she has chosen to come back to share this practice and the wisdom that it has shown her.

Kristy currently has her 200 RYT through Yoga Alliance. She is also working on her 500 RYT as well as an IAYT certification as a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist.

Her passion is to bring wholeness, integration, and to find the dark places so we can bring them into the light.
